The WLM-220 is a fully managed dual-speed stand-alone converter with highly secured in/out of band management capabilities. Based on state-of-the-art technology, industrial grade components and compact design, the WLM-220 is a perfect fit for enterprise and Telco F/O managed networks.
WLM-220 is available with a choice of Internal PS (AC or DC); External PS (AC) or FP - Fiber Protector versions. The unique FP version best suits FTTX installations protecting the incoming fiber and power jack
while keeping only the RJ-45 port exposed for user's access.
The WLM-220 includes embedded SNMP agent with full capability cross platform Java Web based EMS and Telnet support. The unique out-of-band MNGT port and MNGT VLAN option, enables to isolate the management while maintaining secured and transparent conversion services. Enhanced security for management access is provided by passwords, IP access list, 802.1Q VLAN and path control options.
The management provides control of all ports / converter parameters, including learning/aging, rate limit, flow control and link verification features like PONL and FEF, as well as monitoring, RMON statistics and remote software updates.
Although fully managed, the WLM-220 is a Plug & Play device. The initial IP/DHCP settings done via local CLI (RS232) connection or through an optional Infrared i/f to IPAQ PDA, while specific configurations, if required different from the factory defaults, done using the intuitive self-explanatory
Wiz-View/A or Web GUI, or through Telnet. Unique access/network connectivity tester is available through CLI (RS232) or IPAQ PDA. This test utility is very useful and efficient upon installation, service and maintenance.
Per port LED indicators provides high visibility of port status and converter activity in both desktop and wall mount installations.
